Umbrella Sky St. Petersburg 2017

From June 10 to July 9, the Umbrella Sky art-installation will turn Solyanoy Lane into a must-see-place and give reason for posting selfies and hashtags in social networks. Music is the central theme of the festival. In 2017, the People Need People team prepared over a hundred colorful umbrellas and five music days in different styles: rock, jazz, retro, indie and pop rock.

The Umbrella Sky installation is a continuation of the tradition that has begun in the Portuguese city Agueda. In Portugal, this action is known as Umbrella Sky: every year in July,the sky over a narrow city’s street is closed with colorful umbrellas, and underneath are entertainment events holds.
