Festival in memory of Sergei Dovlatov and his time will be held on September 8-10, 2017 in St.Petersburg.
Day D is a city holiday, which is realized as a public initiative.
Festival "Day D-1967" will be held on September 8-10, 2017 at different city venues and will be devoted to the theme of "second thaw" - the time when Sergei Dovlatov, a Russian journalist and writer, was happy and still believed that his literature would be published in Soviet publishing houses.
In the festival program are more than 50 different events that will relate not only to Dovlatov’s works, but also the time of his youth - the time of hope.
Among the events are round tables, creative meetings with Vladimir Voinovich, Sergei Solovyov, Tatyana Tolstaya, the play of Alexander Filippenko, lectures on various aspects of the "second thaw" with participation of Lev Lurie, Cyril Nabutov, Lyubov Arkus, Ivan Artsishevsky and others. Also 60s poetry reading, performances, quests, excursions, film screenings, discos and a fashion show-fox terrier parade-street party at Rubinstein, 23, installations, street art, master classes, a symphony orchestra performance and much more.
