June 12, 2017 will pass an international festival «The Flower Parade». During this festival the florists from all over the world will show flower’s compositions and at the evening an amazing concert «The Ball of flowers» will delight the citizens and St. Petersburg guests.
The festival passes in our city for the sixth time. The topics for this year will be «Ecology» and «The Brilliant St. Petersburg». The Parade will be hold from Anichkov bridge to Nevsky Prospect. After the parade the Palace Square literally will immerse into a flower blossom. Moreover, the citizens and the guests of St. Petersburg will have the opportunity to make some beautiful photos among such an ambrosian beauty. Another exhibition area will become the Alexander Garden where will be represented the works of local artists.
The florists from Moscow and St. Petersburg, the leading specialists from Holland, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Armenia, Belorussia will demonstrate their works. At 18:00 the Ball of flowers will begin.
The guests will see the world’s opera scene stars, soloists from Mariinsky and Bolshoi Theatres, the Vienna and Geneva opera houses. The world’s classic masterpieces, overtures and arias, popular Neapolitan songs and Russian romances, hits of bel canto and music from the cinema will sound under the open air at the Palace Square.
14-00 – the start of the procession from Ostrovsky Square to the Palace Square. A colorful cavalcade consisting of mobile platforms, horse carriages and retro cars will be accompanied by models in flower suits, street theater performers and brass bands.
16:30 — an official «Show of flowers» festival’s opening ceremony. It will be a competition of flower dresses, hairstyles, umbrellas, etc. on the Palace Square. In the eyes of spectators, the famous florists will create unique floral compositions and bouquets.
18:30 – «The Ball of flowers». You will see the world’s opera scene stars, soloists from Mariinsky and Bolshoi Theatres, the Vienna and Geneva opera houses.
