Russian Wine Degustation at the Dom Boutique Hotel

The Dom Boutique Hotel hosted a fine wine tasting from the Russian Wine Museum, which was held on March 31, 2017 by a sommelier Ruslan Devetyarov.

In the stylish interiors design of the Dom Boutique Hotel the guests immersed in an atmosphere of comfort and restrained English luxury leaving a pleasant aftertaste as well as a quality wine. The degustation took place on the occasion of the presentation of the unique project for the city and country – the Russian Wine Museum.

The project gives an opportunity to taste and purchase all the best wines of Russian origin. The new museum is aimed to popularize native winemaking and will become another worthy tourist attraction in St. Petersburg.

The project has already received the support of the Union of Winegrowers and Winemakers of Russia and the Committee of Tourism Development of St. Petersburg City Administration. Before the Museum has got its own venue, where the exposition, a tasting room and a shop will be located, the Museum chose a strategy of themed outdoors degustations.

The excursion on the native wine varieties was held in the Dom Boutique Hotel’s lobby bar with the participation of Ruslan Devetyarov – the best sommelier of the year, according to the Where Magazine, the ceremony “Where To Eat”. The lecture was given on one of the most interesting and popular topics "Autochthonous varieties of Russia" and all the listeners were able to get acquainted with such varieties as:

  1. Vedernikov Winery, Sibirkoviy;
  2. Fanagoria Author's wine, Sibirkoviy-Sauvignon;
  3. Jubilee Winery Select, Worthy;
  4. Fanagoria Saperavi, 100 Shades of Red;
  5. Rayevskoe Krasnostop, Barrique;
  6. Fanagoria Ice Wine Saperavi;

Each of the presented varieties was accompanied by special emphasizing the wine taste snacks from the chef of the Giardino restaurant.
