Dom Boutique Hotel’s Birthday

On May 18, Dom Boutique Hotel hosted a reception in honor of the hotel’s birthday, 2 years anniversary since its opening. The party was organized in the style of the Festival de Cannes - coincidently both events fall on May, and the Russian director Kirill Serebrennikov, whose film "Summer" had entered the program of the festival in 2018, lived in the hotel during the filming at the Summer Garden.

The atmosphere of the Cote d'Azur, its shine, chic and celebration were felt from the first minutes of the event. At the entrance the hotel’s guests were greeted with live music performed by jazz musician Fedor Vasiliev, a champagne, lush floral decorations and palm branches. Even a light spring rain did not prevent the public from showing up on the red carpet in the Côte d'Azur dresses, and the porter with the umbrella just added some St. Petersburg’s charm.

At the evening guests were treated by refined refreshments, finger-food appetizers and sunny cocktails along with the jazz performance by musician Fedor Vasilyev. The main event of the reception was the public talk of producer Stanislav Ershov. The chairman of the board of the "Kino & Theatre" Foundation came to the event immediately upon his return from the Festival and shared with the guests his impressions of what he saw in Cannes. His speech was accompanied by a live broadcast from the festival on the screen and trailers of participating films.

At the end of the evening, a sweet surprise awaited the guests - a cake decorated with a golden palm branch made by the confectioner of the Giardino restaurant. For a moment each of the visitors could feel themselves as members of the Cannes Film Festival's jury and make their bets on the winners of the festival. The guests who guessed winners 2018 received pleasant gifts from the hotel.
